About GBG IDscan (GB built)
Explains how GBG IDscan supports identity and document verification in Maxsight, including verification methods, data extracted, and possible check results.
GBG IDscan is a data provider that you can use to run the following identity and document verification checks in Maxsight:
ID verification (Maxsight collects documents):
The individual uploads documents directly to Maxsight. These documents are sent to GBG IDscan, who check for signs of forgery and extracts the individual's name and, where possible, date of birth, gender, and address from the documents.
ID verification (service collects documents):
The individual uploads their documents directly to GBG IDscan through the GBG SDK interface. GBG performs forgery checks and extracts the individual's name and, where possible, date of birth, gender, and address from the documents. This check retrieves the results from GBG and displays them in Maxsight.
Document verification (service collects multiple):
Running this check in Maxsight triggers an email to the individual using the email address in their Maxsight entity record. The email provides access to the GBG SDK, and the individual completes the document submission process through GBG IDscan's interface. The contents of the session generated in this email are flexible and configured by GBG.
Both the ID verification (service collects documents) and Document verification (service collects multiple) checks allow GBG to perform enhanced biometric checks such as face match and liveness verification.
The data sources and document types supported by GBG IDscan depend on the country. For more information on GBG's coverage, see the GBG Identity coverage documentation.
The Maxsight check returns one of three results:
Pass: GBG IDscan returns a pass result and the extracted details match the entity details in Maxsight.
Fail: GBG IDscan returns a refer, expired, not accepted, not supported, or undefined result, or the extracted details don't match the entity details in Maxsight.
Error: Required fields are missing from the Maxsight entity data, or an issue occurs with the integration.
The specific verifications that GBG IDscan run to determine the overall result of the check depend on your configuration.
