Assessments
The process of onboarding entities through a specified workflow. An entity may be going through multiple assessments at the same time.
Each assessment has the following process:
The assessment starts for an entity.
If the assessment has an assigned risk model for the entity's type, it is applied, and a risk level is attributed to the assessment.
The assessment workflow starts. If the product has one workflow for individual entities and another for company entities, the relevant workflow is selected for the entity's type.
The workflow rules defined in your smart policy are applied to create a list of onboarding tasks for the entity. If your workflow is configured to fail entities automatically based on their risk level, the workflow fails the entity if the risk level matches your specifications. For more information, see Assessment risk.
Any checks that have been configured to run automatically for new assessments are performed, and their results are displayed in the entity's tasks.
The onboarding status for all other tasks is displayed, indicating what action should be taken next; for example, users may be required to pass tasks manually, or an external party may be required to complete forms.
Once all tasks are passed, the status of the assessment is determined by the workflow. If the workflow is configured to pass assessments automatically, it is passed. If not, the onboarding status of the assessment is displayed as Ready for decision, indicating that a user will need to pass or fail it manually.
There are two entity types: individual entities, which are used for people, and company entities, which are used for companies.
