Assign assessments to users and teams

You can assign assessments to a specific user or team to let them know they should take action or keep an eye on it.

The user or team members assigned to an assessment can choose to receive notifications when:

  • The assessment is nearing expiry.

  • The assessment becomes in review.

  • A new PEPs or sanctions match is discovered for the entity.

Additionally, it's possible to filter assessments by their user/team assignment.

You can change your notification preferences at any time.

Assign or reassign an assessment

To assign an assessment:

  1. Go to the entity and select the assessment.

    You can also go to the entity's Assessment overview tab to view all assessments for the entity.

  2. Select the Unassigned or Assigned to [user/team] button.

  3. Select the user or team from the drop-down list or type their name into the search bar.

  4. Optionally, write a message in the Add a comment box. The user or team members can see this message and it's recorded in the entity's Audit report.

  5. Select Assign assessment. The assessment is assigned.

    If users or team members have the relevant notification preference turned on for email notifications or Maxsight portal notifications, they'll receive an alert to let them know that the assessment has been assigned to them:

    • Assessment newly assigned to me is the notification event for users.

    • Assessment newly assigned to my team is the notification event for team members.

Unassign an assessment

To remove the assignment of an assessment:

  1. Go to the entity and select the assessment.

    You can also go to the entity's Assessment overview tab to view all assessments for the entity.

  2. Select the Assigned to [user/team] button and choose Unassigned.

  3. Optionally, write a message in the Add a comment box. It's recorded in the entity's Audit report.

  4. Select Assign assessment. The assessment is unassigned.
