Moody's Shell Company Indicator is a data provider you can use to run the Shell company indicator check.

How it works

The Shell company indicator check uses Moody's Shell Company Indicator to identify hidden shell company risks through analysis-driven indicators. The check uncovers potential suspicious corporate behaviors that necessitate further scrutiny, as these actions may signal money laundering, tax evasion, fraud, and connections to criminal networks.

Information used to run this check

To run the check, complete all the required fields in the company profile. The Company number field must be filled out to generate the BvD ID.

Testing your configuration

Once the Shell company indicator check is configured, follow these steps in your demo environment to test that it's working as expected.

To test your configuration:

  1. Create a company profile.

  2. After creating the profile, run the Shell company indicator check. If the check returns a risk score, it’s working as expected.
