Manage Grid View users

Grid View follows Maxsight's user management standards and procedures.

To manage users, you must have the Read and write option for the Manage users permission. If you can’t see the User management tab and you think that you should, contact the administrator of your account.

To manage Grid View users in Maxsight:

  1. Depending on your location, go to eu.maxsight.com or us.maxsight.com and log in with your username and password. 

  2. Select the User management tab.

  3. Follow the steps to create roles that define the Grid View permissions appropriate for your users.

  4. Follow the steps to add users to Maxsight and assign one or more of the Grid View roles you created.

  5. Once users are active in Grid View, you can deactivate and reactivate users and reset user passwords.

Grid View user permissions

The Reports and Firms permissions are specific to Grid View. User management permissions and teams creation follow Maxsight's standard user management model.

Reports

Reports permissions determine whether the user can view dashboards and export data. Users must also have Firms permissions in order to view and/or export firm data.

Grid View reports

  • Read only: The Grid Dashboards menu options are available. Dashboard users can only see data for the firms specified by the role's Firms permissions.

  • No access: The Grid Dashboards menu options are unavailable. No dashboard access.

Grid View data export

  • Read only: The option to export data in the Tools menu section is available. Data export users can only export data for the firms specified in the role's Firms permissions.

  • No access: The option to export data in the Tools menu section is unavailable.

Firms

Firms permissions define the firm data to include in the users' dashboards and/or exports. Users must also have Reports permissions to access dashboards and/or export data for firms.

Select a permission for each firm to include or exclude that firm's data in the user's dashboards and/or exports.

  • Read only: The firm's data is included in Grid View dashboards and/or exports.

  • No access: The firm's data is excluded in dashboards and/or exports.

Manage users

Manage users permissions provide visibility into user accounts and can be used to create new Grid View administrators. See Maxsight user management permissions for more information on the access included in these permissions.
