Updated naming conventions
To simplify and increase understanding of Maxsight's terms, we are updating the names of some of our key concepts. We expect to release these changes on 30 June 2025.
To simplify and increase understanding of Maxsight's terms, we are updating the names of some of our key concepts. The following table lists the name changes.
Current name | Previous name | Description |

Entity | Profile | The companies or individuals going through your assessment processes. |
Assessment | Product/Product application | The process of onboarding entities through a specified workflow. An entity may be going through multiple assessments at the same time. |
Workflow | Application flow/Smart policy flow | The rules that determine which onboarding tasks are required when assessing an entity. |
External request | Customer request | External requests are sent to ask an external party to complete one or more forms. These forms can be used to gather information or collect required documents. |

What is not changing
Changes will not be implemented in the API.
Data exports will not be impacted.
Maxsight platform URLs will not be affected.
