Abstract

This glossary provides definitions for the columns and data in Grid Reporting.

This glossary defines the data included in Grid Reporting export files to help you understand the contents of each export.

Alerts by entity

Summarizes alert activity by matched entity, enabling entity‑level analysis of alert volume across screening batches.

Description

batch_date

The date a batch was created and submitted for processing.

batch_id

A numeric identifier assigned to a batch submission. Batch IDs are unique within a Grid environment, for example, US or EU.

biz_unit_id

A unique, Grid‑specific firm identifier that facilitates compatibility with legacy data. Represents the same organizational unit as firm_nbr.

combined_alerts

The final alert count reported for an entity.

  • For Client Alert Decisioning firms, this value typically represents entity_alerts.

  • For non-Client Alert Decisioning firms, this value typically represents rdc_matched_alerts.

combined_date

The date associated with an alert count.

combined_entity

The entity name associated with an alert count.

  • For non-Client Alert Decisioning firms, the entity name used for rdc_matched_alerts.

  • For Client Alert Decisioning, the entity name used for entity_alerts.

entity_alerts

The number of decision-level alerts for an entity.

entity_id

A unique numeric identifier for an entity within the Grid database.

firm_name

A human-readable name corresponding to a firm_nbr.

firm_nbr

An alphanumeric identifier for a firm.

grid_entity_name

The name corresponding to entity_id in the Grid database.

layer_logic_version

The logic version applied to aggregate the exported data, supporting traceability and consistency across reports.

rdc_matched_alerts

The number of match-level alerts generated for an entity by Grid.

Alerts by event

Aggregates alert counts by risk or event category, providing visibility into which risk types are driving alerts.

Description

batch_date

The date a batch was created and submitted for processing.

This value is synonymous with submitted_date.

batch_id

A numeric identifier assigned to a batch submission. Batch IDs are unique within a Grid environment, for example, US or EU.

biz_unit_id

A unique, Grid‑specific firm identifier that facilitates compatibility with legacy data. Represents the same organizational unit as firm_nbr.

combined_alerts

The final alert count reported for an entity.

  • For Client Alert Decisioning firms, this value typically represents entity_alerts.

  • For non-Client Alert Decisioning firms, this value typically represents rdc_matched_alerts.

combined_date

The date associated with an alert count.

combined_risk_code

The risk or event code associated with an alert.

  • For Client Alert Decisioning firms, this value is typically associated with event_alerts.

  • For non-Client Alert Decisioning firms, this value is typically associated with rdc_matched_alerts.

combined_risk_code_description

The description of the risk or event code associated with an alert.

A human-readable description corresponding to combined_risk_code, based on the firm’s alerting configuration.

event_alerts

The number of alerts generated for a risk event.

firm_name

A human-readable name corresponding to a firm_nbr.

firm_nbr

An alphanumeric identifier for a firm.

layer_logic_version

The logic version applied to aggregate the exported data, supporting traceability and consistency across reports.

rdc_matched_alerts

The number of match-level alerts generated for an entity by Grid.

rdc_risk_code

A three‑letter code representing a broad category of risk, for example, money laundering or terrorism. See Grid risk event codes for more information.

rdc_risk_code_description

A description of the risk category associated with an rdc_risk_code. Based on event categorization and keywords derived from Grid source data.

submitted_date

The date a batch was created and submitted for processing.

This value is synonymous with batch_date.

Alerts by source

Groups alerts by originating data source or list, supporting source‑level analysis of alert generation.

Analyst decision audit

Provides an audit trail of Analyst Review decisioning activity, including inquiry inputs, matched entities, scores, and review outcomes.

customer_reporting_id

A client‑defined identifier used for tracking purposes.

cvip_code

A risk categorization code used by Grid to group alerts into ranked priority categories: Critical (C), Valuable (V), Investigative (I), or Probative (P). Alerts that cannot be categorized may be classified as Unspecified (U).

dob_list

A list of dates of birth associated with a matched entity.

entity_type

The type of entity, either a person or an organization, represented in Grid.

event_code

A three‑letter code representing a broad category of risk used by Grid to organize risk data.

firm_name

A human-readable name corresponding to a firm_nbr.

firm_nbr

An alphanumeric identifier for a firm.

global_search

A flag indicating whether an inquiry searched all available jurisdictions.

  • 1: Global search is turned on.

  • 0: Global search is turned off.

grid_entity_id

A unique numeric identifier for an entity within the Grid database.

grid_entity_name

The name corresponding to entity_id in the Grid database.

inquiry_address_city

The city value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_address_country

The country value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_address_delivery_line

The address value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_address_postal_code

The postal code value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_address_province

The state or province value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_age

The age value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_date_of_birth

The date of birth value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_id

A numeric identifier assigned to an inquiry. Inquiry IDs are unique within a firm.

inquiry_name_utf8

The name submitted as part of an inquiry, represented in UTF‑8 format.

level_one_alert_conf

The confidence score generated by the AI matching process.

match_score

A numeric score representing the strength of the match between an inquiry and a Grid profile.

match_status

The current status of a match within Grid.

most_recent_event_date

The date of the most recent event occurrence.

pep_rating

A PEP rating with associated dates.

pep_type_lvl

The PEP type and level, represented as a pipe‑delimited value.

search_type

An indicator of whether a search was performed as an inquiry or for monitoring purposes.

state_list

A list of states or provinces associated with a matched entity’s addresses.

Audit data

Delivers a comprehensive audit record of screening activity, decisioning, and alert lifecycle data across inquiries and batches.

Human‑readable description for the Client Alert Decisioning decision reason.

client_alert_dec_review_id

Unique identifier for a Client Alert Decisioning review instance of an inquiry or match.

client_alert_last_mod_user

Username for the last user to modify the Client Alert Decisioning record itself, for example, status, notes, or decision.

country_list

A list of countries associated with a matched entity’s addresses.

customer_reporting_id

An alphanumeric, client-defined identifier used for reporting purposes.

cvip_code

A risk categorization code used by Grid to group alerts into ranked priority categories: Critical (C), Valuable (V), Investigative (I), or Probative (P). Alerts that cannot be categorized may be classified as Unspecified (U).

decisioning_user

The name of the user who made or was assigned to the decision an alert in Client Alert Decisioning.

decision_notes

Free‑text notes associated with a Client Alert Decisioning decision.

dob_list

A list of dates of birth associated with a matched entity.

entity_id

A unique numeric identifier for an entity within the Grid database.

entityname

The name of an entity in an iList when the audit record involves an iList‑related match or suppression.

entity_type

The type of entity, either a person or an organization, represented in Grid.

event_code

A three‑letter code representing a broad category of risk used by Grid to organize risk data.

firm_name

A human-readable name corresponding to a firm_nbr.

firm_nbr

An alphanumeric identifier for a firm.

global_search

A flag indicating whether an inquiry searched all available jurisdictions.

  • 1: Global search is turned on.

  • 0: Global search is turned off.

icad_batch_status

A status code representing the processing state of a batch within Client Alert Decisioning decisioning.

icad_creation_date

The timestamp when an Client Alert Decisioning alert was created.

icad_match_status

The status of a match in Client Alert Decisioning.

icad_review_status

Client Alert Decisioning workflow status for a match, for example, open or in review.

inquiry_address_city

The city value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_address_country

The country value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_address_delivery_line

The address value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_address_postal_code

The postal code value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_address_province

The state or province value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_age

The age value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_date_of_birth

The date of birth value submitted for an inquiry.

inquiry_id

match_status

The current status of a match within Grid.

most_recent_event_date

The date of the most recent event occurrence.

pep_rating

A PEP rating with associated dates.

pep_source

The originating source, system, list, or provider for a PEP designation.

pep_type_lvl

The PEP type and level, represented as a pipe‑delimited value.

risk_id

A unique alphanumeric identifier for a curated profile associated with a person or organization.

search_type

An indicator of whether a search was performed as an inquiry or for monitoring purposes.

source_list

A concatenated list of event sources.

This value is null for iList matches.

state_list

A list of states or provinces associated with a matched entity’s addresses.

Data quality summary

Summarizes the completeness of inquiry data submitted for screening, highlighting usage of optional enrichment fields over time.

The inquiry submission date.

firm_name

initial_inquiry_only

A flag indicating whether aggregated values reflect:

  • Y: Only initial inquiries

  • N: All applicable inquiries in the reporting period

layer_logic_version

The logic version applied to aggregate the exported data, supporting traceability and consistency across reports.

num_orgs

The number of organization inquiries included in the reporting period.

num_orgs_address_line

The number of organization inquiries submitted with a populated address line.

num_orgs_city

The number of organization inquiries submitted with a populated city value.

num_orgs_country

The number of organization inquiries submitted with a populated country value.

num_orgs_global_search

The number of organization inquiries that specified global search.

num_orgs_inquiry_notes

The number of organization inquiries submitted with inquiry notes.

num_orgs_postal_code

The number of organization inquiries submitted with a populated postal code.

num_orgs_state_prov

The number of organization inquiries submitted with a populated state or province value.

num_persons

The number of person inquiries included in the reporting period.

num_persons_address_line

The number of person inquiries submitted with a populated address line.

num_persons_age

The number of person inquiries submitted with a populated age value.

num_persons_city

The number of person inquiries submitted with a populated city value.

num_persons_country

The number of person inquiries submitted with a populated country value.

num_persons_dob

Ops review

Presents operational screening metrics such as batch volume, inquiry counts, matches, and alert outcomes for monitoring and capacity analysis.

month

The month extracted from submitted_date.

rdc_accepted

The total number of entities alerted by Grid.

search_type

An indicator of whether a search was performed as an inquiry or for monitoring purposes.

The date a batch was created and submitted for processing.

This value is synonymous with batch_date.

year

The year extracted from submitted_date.

Used to group operational metrics by calendar year for trend and capacity analysis.

PEP data

Reports PEP screening results, including PEP classifications, jurisdictions, and related alert counts.

Represents the number of unique Grid matches associated with a specific PEP attribute combination.

batch_date

The date a batch was submitted for processing.

country_name

The country associated with a PEP designation or classification.

entity_type

The type of entity, either a person or an organization, represented in Grid.

firm_nbr

An alphanumeric identifier for a firm.

pep_level

A descriptive level associated with a PEP classification. Indicates the degree or scope of political exposure.

pep_rating

A rating value associated with a PEP classification, used to indicate relative PEP risk.

pep_type

A classification code identifying the type of PEP exposure, such as the nature of the political role or relationship.

Screening overview

Provides a detailed, row‑level view of screening results, combining inquiry data, match details, alerts, decisioning, and audit fields.

address

The delivery line of an inquiry address. Displays the street address submitted with the inquiry used for screening.

addresses

A list of all addresses associated with an inquiry. Displays all address values submitted with the inquiry.

age

The age of the inquiry subject. Shows the age value provided during the inquiry.

ai_confidence_score

The AI agent’s confidence score for a match, expressed as a value between 0 and 1. Represents the AI confidence score associated with a level‑one alert.

alert_date

The date an alert was created. Indicates when the alert associated with the match was generated.

alert_tracking_id

A unique identifier assigned to an alert. Identifies the alert generated for the inquiry or match.

batch_alert_date

The timestamp when alerts were generated for a batch. Represents the alert creation time at the batch level.

batch_id

A numeric identifier assigned to a batch submission. Batch IDs are unique within a Grid environment, for example, US or EU.

batch_type

A label indicating the how the batch was submitted, for example, web, system, or portfolio monitoring.

completed_date

The timestamp when final processing completed. Represents the ultimate response file timestamp for the batch.

contract_id

A Salesforce identifier used to link screening activity to a specific client contract.

country

The country associated with an inquiry address.

cvip_code

A risk categorization code used by Grid to group alerts into ranked priority categories: Critical (C), Valuable (V), Investigative (I), or Probative (P). Alerts that cannot be categorized may be classified as Unspecified (U).

This value is null for iList matches.

date_of_birth

The inquiry subject's date of birth.

date_to_icad

The date a match was sent to Client Alert Decisioning. Populated only when Client Alert Decisioning is enabled.

decision_reason

A descriptive explanation for an Analyst Review decision.

entity_item

The folder name associated with an entity item.

This value is null for iList matches.

entity_type

The type of entity, either a person or an organization, represented in Grid.

event_category

A descriptive category for a risk event.

This value is null for iList matches.

event_category_code

A code representing a risk event category.

Uses BLK for iList matches.

event_id

A unique identifier for a risk event.

This value is null for iList matches.

event_item

The folder name associated with an event item.

This value is null for iList matches.

event_stage

A description of the event subcategory or stage.

This value is null for iList matches.

event_subcategory_code

A code representing a risk event subcategory.

This value is null for iList matches.

firm_name

A descriptive name associated with a firm_nbr.

firm_nbr

A numeric identifier for the firm under which screening occurred.

grid_entity_id

A unique numeric identifier for an entity within the Grid database.

grid_name

The name associated with an entity record in Grid.

This value is null for iList matches.

icad_alert_close_date

The date a Client Alert Decisioning alert was closed. Populated only when a Client Alert Decisioning alert review status exists.

icad_alert_status

The review status of a Client Alert Decisioning alert. Indicates whether the alert is alerted, not alerted, or purged.

icad_batch_status

A status code representing the processing state of a batch within Client Alert Decisioning decisioning.

icad_match_close_date

The date a Client Alert Decisioning match was closed. Populated only when a Client Alert Decisioning match status exists.

icad_match_dec_code

A code representing the Client Alert Decisioning match decision. Displays the client‑generated decision code.

icad_match_dec_reason

A description of the Client Alert Decisioning match decision reason. Provides context for the Client Alert Decisioning decision outcome.

icad_match_status

The status of a match in Client Alert Decisioning.

icad_user

The user assigned to review a match in Client Alert Decisioning. Identifies the analyst responsible for the review.

initial_response_file_date

The timestamp when the initial response file was generated. Represents the first response output for the batch.

inquiry_id

A numeric identifier assigned to an inquiry. Inquiry IDs are unique within a firm.

inquiry_name

The name submitted for screening. Uses the UTF‑8 version of the inquiry name when available.

inquiry_status

The current status of an inquiry. Indicates screening or alerting outcomes such as alerted, not alerted, loaded, or purged.

list_entry_id

A numeric identifier representing an entity in an iList when the export includes an iList‑based match or suppression.

list_entry_name

iList entry name.

matching_engine_completed_date

The timestamp when the matching engine completed processing.

match_score

A numeric score representing match strength. Shows the score calculated between the inquiry and matched entity.

match_status

The current status of a match within Grid.

month

The month extracted from submitted_date.

num_alerts

The total number of alerts generated.

Reflects Grid or Client Alert Decisioning alerts based on client configuration.

num_matches

The number of submitted matches. Represents the count of KYC matches identified.

num_rdc_alerts

The number of accepted Grid alerts. Represents system‑generated alert acceptances.

num_searches

The number of inquiries in a batch. Shows inquiry volume per batch.

pm_date

The portfolio monitoring date. Indicates when portfolio monitoring activity occurred.

pm_date_year

The year extracted from the portfolio monitoring date. Used for portfolio monitoring trend analysis.

postal_code

The postal code associated with an inquiry address. Shows the postal code submitted with the inquiry.

province

The province or state associated with an inquiry address. Displays the state or province submitted with the inquiry.

purge_date

The date a batch was purged.

reason_code

A code representing an Analyst Review decision reason.

region

The Grid database region. Identifies whether data resides in the US or EU region.

reporting_id

A customer‑provided reporting identifier. Used to align screening results with customer reporting systems.

risk_id

A unique alphanumeric identifier for a curated profile associated with a person or organization.

search_type

An indicator of whether a search was performed as an inquiry or for monitoring purposes.

submitted_date

The date a batch was created and submitted for processing.

submitting_user

The user who submitted a batch. Identifies the user responsible for batch submission.

tracking_id

A client‑defined identifier used for tracking purposes.

unique_batch_id

A globally unique batch identifier with region prefix. Derived from region and batch ID.

unique_inquiry_id

A globally unique inquiry identifier with region prefix. Derived from region, batch ID, and inquiry ID.

unique_match

A globally unique match identifier with region prefix. Derived from region, batch ID, inquiry ID, and entity ID.

year

The year extracted from submitted_date.

Used to group operational metrics by calendar year for trend and capacity analysis.

Search stats summary

Aggregates firm‑level search activity statistics, showing search volume and channels over a given time period.

created_date

The date a firm search record was created. Represents the date on which search activity was recorded for the firm, used to aggregate search statistics over time.

firm_name

A human-readable name corresponding to a firm_nbr.

firm_nbr

An alphanumeric identifier for a firm.

layer_logic_version

The logic version applied to aggregate the exported data, supporting traceability and consistency across reports.

search_channel

The channel through which a search was initiated. Identifies the originating channel for search activity, such as web or system‑initiated searches.

search_count

The count of search records within a specified time period. Represents the total number of firm search records captured for the reporting period.
